Over the past five years, Nina’s journey with iPS has been one of growth, resilience, and exciting opportunities. Transitioning from the maritime industry in the UAE to joining iPS as a Senior Recruitment Consultant was a significant shift, but one that allowed Nina to leverage her industry experience in a new way. In 2025, Nina was honored to be promoted to Principal Consultant, marking a key milestone in her career.
Can you tell me about your journey with iPS over the past five years? How has your role evolved during this time?
Nina: I relocated from the UAE, where I worked in the maritime industry on the client side, and joined iPS as a Senior Recruitment Consultant at iPS Select. In 2025, I was promoted to Principal Consultant, marking an exciting milestone in my career.
What do you believe are the most significant changes or developments you’ve witnessed within iPS since you joined?
Nina: When I joined, iPS Select had just been launched, so I had the unique opportunity to witness and contribute to its growth from the very beginning. It’s been incredible to see how the team has expanded and evolved over the years.
Can you share a particularly challenging project or situation you’ve faced during your time here, and how you overcame it?
Nina: I started in February 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. With minimal onboarding and no opportunity to meet clients in person, we all had to quickly adapt to remote work. My first year was particularly challenging, as I barely saw my colleagues. However, we went through the situation together, and by the end of that year, iPS Select had achieved success.
What do you enjoy most about working at iPS, and what keeps you motivated after five years?
Nina: The people. I love the interactions, the dynamic nature of the work, and being part of a company that has grown significantly over the past five years. Seeing this progress firsthand keeps me motivated and inspired to contribute even more.
Have you had opportunities for professional development or advancement within the company? If so, can you elaborate on those experiences?
Nina: Absolutely! iPS provides great training opportunities, allowing us to develop in areas of personal interest. One of the most valuable trainings I recently attended was with Per4mance on Personal Effectiveness, which gave me practical insights to enhance my performance.
In your opinion, what sets this company apart from others in the industry, and why do you choose to continue your career here?
Nina: The flexibility. At iPS, we have the freedom to propose ideas, shape our work in a way that suits us best, and operate with a high level of independence. And, of course, the people—our team culture makes this a great place to work.
Can you share a memorable achievement or success story from your time at the company?
Nina: Helping people get their dream jobs is incredibly rewarding. I’ll never forget my first placement—a candidate who had been searching for months told me, “Nina, thanks to you, I found a job. You changed my life.” That moment stuck with me. Additionally, bringing in new colleagues from different countries is always fulfilling, as I know firsthand how life-changing such opportunities can be.
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations or goals for the future within iPS?
Nina: I want to continue developing myself, expand my network of executive leaders, and focus on meeting more clients in person. Building strong relationships and broadening my expertise will be key goals for the future.
