How has the EIC helped you through the years?
EIC has helped us over the years by the market investigation and reports. We have used the information when working on our budgets, our sales strategy and coming to meetings prepared. Besides the market information we have been very involved in various advisory boards, EIC Connect events, partnerships for trade missions and industry events and finally we had a hot seat and phone services through the Houston office for over two years. iPS being a global organisation, we have been in advisory boards in the Middle East, Americas and Europe.
Any interesting stories to tell?
During my time in Mexico being part of the very first EIC Connect Mexico, both as host of the event and helping put together the programme was very satisfying. There were some doubts to organise the event in Mexico, we had various meetings to get together the programme and measure interest of participants and speakers, but both events (2018 and 2019) were a big success.
What are the synergies between iPS Powerful People and the EIC?
As mentioned above what mostly stood out for me personally, being responsible for the Americas region has been the hot desk in Houston, where we had phone number, address and we were able to come in the office and have a great place to work from with a great local team. We have also participated and sponsored the EIC Connect USA event. Another successful collaboration is where our local manager in Saudi Arabia, Ali Al Ghanim, took a similar role in the very first EIC Connect in Saudi Arabia in 2020.
Where would you like to see iPS Powerful People and the EIC in the next 80 years?
iPS is hoping to expand further and learning through EIC and its monitoring tools to be able to stay on top of the market and going into markets well prepared. The energy industry is in transition and many more lines of industry are being developed. From the traditional oil and gas into offshore wind, hydrogen, LNG and other sources of energy have changed the playing field for us as staffing agent as well as for EIC to be able to monitor all industries in different countries. EIC can be proud of what it has established, and we look forward to a long and sustainable future together.
