In late January 2025, we hosted a successful New Year event in Klaipėda, Lithuania, and Riga, Latvia, providing a valuable platform for iPS professionals to connect, learn, and discuss the offshore industry.

 

 

Event Highlights

The Lithuanian office kicked off with an insightful presentation showcasing the team, office, and contact details, setting the stage for engaging discussions on career opportunities and industry trends. Attendees raised questions about career development, with young professionals eager to enter the offshore field and experienced professionals seeking advice on transitioning to shore-based roles. Rigging professionals expressed interest in one of our client’s projects, and inquiries were made about the A1 certificate.

 

 

Itinerary and Team Spirit

Our journey began on Sunday, January 26th, when our colleagues from the Netherlands, Vlad and Pim, arrived in Palanga, Lithuania. After a productive day at the iPS Klaipėda office, the event took place the following day, Tuesday, January 28th, from 15:00 to 18:00, followed by a team dinner to help our colleagues from the Netherlands and Lithuania bond, fostering our 1PS spirit.

 

 

On Wednesday, January 29th, we traveled to Riga, where the event took place from 17:00 to 20:00 on Thursday, January 30th. The trip concluded on Friday, January 31st, after working at the Riga office.

 

 

Engaging Interactions

Both events featured meaningful interactions with our professionals, who approached us during breaks with questions and feedback, expressing their appreciation for the event and the insights shared.

 

 

Informative Presentations

Viktorija, our colleague from Lithuania, gave a presentation in Klaipėda outlining key iPS operations, while Anna in Latvia discussed effective communication strategies, job applications, CV building, and more.

 

 

Vlad and Pim also introduced our Energy and Maritime Department, detailing team roles, the clients we work with, and our current recruitment efforts. Questions from attendees were incorporated into the presentations, and a live Q&A allowed for further interaction.

 

 

To end on a high note, we hosted a quiz with ten questions about iPS and our local office, rewarding the top three participants with prizes, adding excitement and friendly competition.
