Function description
Our client operates the world’s largest crane vessels, install and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms and installing platforms up to 50,000 metric tons. By joining us, you will play an important part in our unique maritime adventure.
You will be responsible for:
- During your watch you are responsible for the safe and efficient inspection as well as maintenance of machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, accommodation, galley, deck and project related equipment and lifesaving equipment.
- You report defects and malfunctioning of systems, circuits, equipment and interrupt, without any hesitation, unsafe activities or conditions and report these.
- Furthermore, you keep the engine room book updated, perform toolboxes, ensure a proper job and shift handover
- Lastly you supervise the technical (fleet) personnel on watch as well as new technical personnel and trainees
Requirements
- You have 3 to 8 years’ experience as Engineer on board of an offshore vessel, (a DPO operated vessel is an advantage)
- Valid Seaman’s book
- Your command of the Dutch and English, both written and spoken, is excellent.
- BOSIET, including HUET, CA-EBS and Crew Basket
- STCW approved health certificate
