Function description
As an SDPO you are responsible for navigation and controlling the offshore vessel’s position, using the DP systems, manual controls and joysticks accordingly. As part of essential ship's management team, you represent and report to the Master on the bridge of any events concerning the safety of the offshore vessel, or the DP operation. As SDPO, you ensure a safe working environment and effective communication for all personnel on deck while on watch, in compliance with relevant safety procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
- Understanding of safe operations practices;
- Certificate of Competency;
- DP unlimited license;
- Valid SCTW certificates;
- Offshore and Seafarer's medical;
- Valid Seaman´s book and EU passport.
