Function description
Our client produces steel components for dredging and offshore industry. These products are such as elbows, fittings, pipes etc. They produce heavy and tick materials such as with inside diameter from 26 to 40 inches or larger and up to 3-7 tons each piece.
Duties/ Main Responsibilities/Functions:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work order to determine fabrication requirements
- Prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal structures
- Weld the structures in semi-automatic/ MIG style.
- Finish the structures by grinding them and welding joints
- Inspect finished components to make sure it follows project specifications
- Troubleshoot technical issues that might arise during the welding work

Requirements/ Criteria:
- EU Work permit (mandatory)
- Good English level (minimum intermediate level)
- Previous experience in fabrication and welding (semi-automatic)
- Experience welding thick materials (varying from 30mm to 150 mm)
- Knowledge on how to use the oxy-acetylene cutter
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
