Short description
Are you ready to take charge of dredging operations and ensure safe navigation aboard our vessels? As 1st Cutter Skipper you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the dredging process, managing the crew during your watch, and contributing to the continuous improvement of fleet operations.
Function description
- Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel during the watch.
- Safely navigate and anchor equipment under all conditions.
- Collaborate with the Cutter Skipper Head to define operational plans.
- Lead and supervise crew members during your watch.
- Monitor technical and operational status and report any deviations.
- Direct emergency repairs and improve operational processes.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in dredging operations.
- Secondary Vocational Education.
- Training as per STCW regulations and safety matrix.
- Strong English communication skills (written & spoken).
- Knowledge of the applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
