Function description
Able to be the One (Wo)Man on the Bridge? Do you have the experience to work independently as a Pipe Operator in addition to working as a Second Mate? Then this could be your chance to join this well experienced team.
Van Oord is currently looking for an experienced Second Officer who would like to build his or her future in the modern fleet of this global player in the dredging sector on a long-term contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execution of dredging operations and maintenance of dredging equipment
- You will be part of the watch
- With high safety standards, you’ll ensure all work is conducted safely and in line with Van Oord’s protocols. You’ll also receive an onboard introduction covering essential topics to support your start.
Requirements
What will you bring?
- Proven experience as Second Officer/Pipe Operator on board TSHD’s
- Interest in new developments in dredging and environmental requirements
- A Dutch certificate as competence, at least Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch
- All updated STCW certificates
- Seamans book
- Medical for seafarer
- Fluent in written and spoken English
