The Project Scheduler develops, maintains, and manages project schedules. The Project Scheduler collaborates with Project Managers and Stakeholders to identify project timelines, milestones, and resource requirements, ensuring all project activities are aligned with overall objectives.
Function description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule Development - Create and maintain detailed Project Schedules using scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera or similar) to track project timelines and milestones.
- Collaboration - Work closely with Project Managers, Project Teams, and Stakeholders to gather the project requirements and ensure alignment on scheduling expectations.
- Progress Tracking - Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly. Identify potential delays and proactively recommend solutions to keep projects on track.
- Reporting - Generate scheduled and unscheduled reports on project status, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Present updates to Stakeholders and management.
- Risk Management - Work closely with Project Managers and management to identify scheduling risks and issues and develop mitigations strategies.
- Change Management - Assess the impact of changes in scope on the project schedule and communicate these changes as directed to all impacted Stakeholders.
- Documentation - Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling processes, decisions, and changes for future reference.
- Continuous Improvement - Recommend and implement improvements to scheduling processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Must have Primavera P6 experience and proficiency.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities.
