Function description
As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will be performing the following activities:
- Play a crucial role in the construction of a DP2 Rock Installation Vessel, featuring cutting-edge technology such as automation, Dynamic Positioning (DP), power electronics, VFD systems, power distribution and generation systems, battery storage, energy efficiency systems, and maintenance management systems.
- Provide project engineering expertise with a focus on project management, budgeting, scheduling, progress reporting, and coordination with shipyards.
- Apply extensive knowledge of electrical systems in marine environments, system integration, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and methods to ensure successful execution of the new build project.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as New Build, Fleet Engineering, Offshore Wind, and IT to drive the project forward.
This position will be fully dedicated to a new build project, with a work location split between home office, Houston office, and project office in Philadelphia, PA. The role will also involve extensive travel across the USA, with occasional international travel.

Requirements
In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:
- US citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of achievement and advancement.
- At least 5 years of experience in the dredging or offshore industry, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong expertise in the electrical systems required for DP2 offshore applications, as well as experience in shipbuilding electrical systems.
- Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and schedules effectively.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated initiative, independent decision-making ability, and skill in developing recommendations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
