Function description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interface Engineer to support the construction of a Hopper Vessel for a prominent maritime engineering and construction project. In this role, you will act as the critical link between international engineering teams and the on-site construction team. Your main responsibilities include overseeing engineering quality, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the engineering department and the construction site in Panama City, Florida.
- Supervise and ensure the quality of local engineering efforts, maintaining adherence to high industry standards.
- Facilitate communication between the European-based project team and local stakeholders, including governmental organizations.
- Conduct site inspections during design and production phases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee and monitor project progress, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide comprehensive project updates and reports to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements
- Only U.S. citizens and Green Card holders will be considered for this role.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in maritime construction, shipbuilding, or large-scale engineering projects.
- Hands-on experience in project management, specifically in construction or related industries.
- Degree in engineering, ideally in naval or mechanical disciplines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
- Flexibility to work internationally and adapt to dynamic project needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to project management.
