We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Engineer to support a key offshore project in Mexico. This is a 6-month assigment focused on production optimization, artificial lift systems, and integrated production modeling. Function description
As a Senior Production Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and optimizing well performance through nodal analysis, artificial lift design, and integrated modeling. You will provide technical support for well interventions and clean-up strategies, contributing to production efficiency and field performance.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Perform nodal analysis and evaluate ALS sensitivities (GL, ESP) aligned with the well lifecycle and production forecast.
- Support well intervention planning by assessing project needs for heavy, medium, and light interventions.
- Conduct simulations and define parameters for well clean-ups including initial rates, duration, and fluid behavior.
- Contribute to Integrated Asset Modeling by aligning well, facility, and field production scenarios.
- Collaborate with subsurface, facilities, and operations teams to deliver optimized production strategies.
Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience in production engineering and optimization.
- Proven knowledge in nodal analysis, integrated production modeling (Petex suite, Pipesim), and flow assurance.
- Strong background in artificial lift systems: Gas Lift, SRP, HJP, ESP.
- Familiarity with well stimulation, enhanced perforation, and well treatment techniques.
- Offshore platform and subsea project experience.
- Bachelor´s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
