Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Jacking Superintendent to oversee the operations, maintenance, and repair of jack-up barge systems.
Function description
This role is critical to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of jacking operations across the fleet. If you have a strong background in hydraulic and mechanical systems, and thrive in offshore environments, this opportunity is for you.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on jacking systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues using technical tools and schematics.
- Lead emergency troubleshooting and corrective actions during off-hours.
- Provide technical support and training to crew and junior technicians.
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance jacking procedures and system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, classification societies, and maritime regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience with jacking systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving and technical documentation interpretation skills.
- Familiarity with PLC and automation systems.
- Offshore certifications such as BOSIET and HUET are preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work offshore as needed.
