What we expect in return
Execute electrical repair and maintenance operations under supervision and guidance of the W/K electrical engineer or workshop supervisor.
Inform the W/K electrical engineer on the maintenance schedule and spare parts requirements.
Perform operational and maintenance activities-mechanical overhaul, repair work, marine equipment, outboard motors, and related plant workshop mechanical under the supervision of foreman
Check malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection of vehicle / equipment and coordinate to W/K electrical engineer on day to day activities.
Analyze electrical issues & execute repairs on the Dredger/beaver.
Escalate electrical issues to electrical engineer or supervisor.
Works and act according to the defined policies and procedures of company / Technical department.
Report on work done, issues and preventive maintenance requirements to W/K Electrical Engineer / on day to day basis.
Ensure that the HSE requirements are observed in the execution of all mechanical activities, Provide guidelines to junior staff on QA/QC and HSE reports/recommendations.
This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for – at times you will be ask to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements.
Requirements
- Electrical Diploma / Higher Technical School certificate or an equivalent professional qualification or professional experience
- Experience as ETO preferred working on Dreger
- Certificate of Competence
- Seaman’s book
- Valid STCW certificate , II/2-STCW
- Seafarers Medical certificate
- Fluently English both spoken as written
- Good computer skills
