Function description
As a 2nd Motorman, you will be performing the following activities:
- Ensure that incomplete repairs and projects are finished timely;
- Ensure that equipment failure is kept to a minimum and within contractual limits;
- Ensure compliance with HSE Management System for safe, efficient operations;
- Ensure the motor room is kept clean and all equipment is properly stowed;
- Ensure all maintenance operations are safe, and correct or notify persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions;
- Maintain the engine room daily operating logs;
- Ensure all compound components are regularly oiled/lubricated and rotated;
- General maintenance around the engine room area, keep motor room and machinery clean and painted.

Requirements
In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience within the dredging sector;
- 2 years of experience working in an Offshore development project;
- Type A seaman's book holder;
- Certificate of Competence (motorman);
- STCW Basic Certificates.
