Function description
At this moment, we are in search of a skilled 2nd Engineer for a project in the UK. This role is designated for a specific project starting from December 4 and for approximately 5 weeks.
A Second Engineer is a vital position in the maritime industry, particularly for big Offshore Installation vessels. As a Second Engineer, you are able assists in the operations, maintenance, and repair of the ship's machinery and systems. You report to the Chief Engineer at all times and help him in managing and supervising the engineering department. You are responsible to operate, maintain, and repair machinery and systems, including engines, generators, pumps, compressors, boilers, and refrigeration systems. A perfect candidate for this role, you oversee routine maintenance tasks, and conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment. On top of that, compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies; as well as training and supervision of lower-ranking engineering personnel, are also part of your duties.
Requirements
- Valid UK work permit;
- Certified in GWO working at heights;
- Relevant Offshore trainings;
- Demonstrable Jacking experience;
- HUET.
