Function description
As an Able Seaman, you will be performing the following activities:
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of equipment in the deck department;
- Maintain ship's metal structures by chipping, scraping, cleaning, priming, and painting;
- Use emergency, lifesaving, damage control, and safety equipment;
- Perform all operations connected with the launching of lifesaving equipment;
- Look for obstructions in path of vessel;
- Navigate ship and maintains visual communication with other ships;
- Use visual signaling devices, such as blinker light and semaphore.

Requirements
In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience within the dredging sector;
- 2 years of experience working in an Offshore development project;
- Type A seaman's book holder;
- STCW Basic Certificates.
