Short description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operated Ventures Project Management Specialist to join the corporate office of a leading Oil & Gas company in Mexico. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing internal processes for initiating, planning, excecuting, and closing field development projects within the Oil & Gas Industry.
Function description
The ideal OPV Project Management Specialist will be responsible for an interface function for BU Mexico regarding internal processes to initiate, plan, execute, provide follow up and close projects, particularly associated to the stage gate process for project decisions.
Some of the tasks and responsibilities to be performed by this OPV Project Management Specialist are:
- Oversee all PM aspects of existing partner operated development and production projects (and assets) within the Mexico business unit.
- Coordinate the necessary in-house support functions related to PoV assets.
- Support PoV head to derive Joint Venture Infuencing strategy, key focus areas and their implementation.
- Collect, document and communicate lessons learned from and towards operators in POV.
- Facilitate risk workshops and regular risk meetings with assigned risk owners.
- Establish, maintain and update integrated project schedules for PoV.
- Review operator’s schedules and manpower plans and provide adequate feedback to Head of PoV on potential shortcomings or risks.
- Responsible for the development of a project risk register to provide for identification, mitigation and monitoring of project risks with potential schedule and costs impact.
- Management and consistent implementation of internal policies and requirements, strong focus on communications with all required internal stakeholders.
- Support Manager PoV in TCM and OCM preparations, de-brieng including adequate time planning.
- Ensure compliance of requirements and procedures wrt Project Management for projects.
- Create the standardized forms related to the process to initiate, plan, execute, provide follow up and closure of the projects in the PoV team in case there is no form provided by the Global Project Delivery Team or other central function in the organization.
- Spread knowledge from Project Management to designated Project Managers and technical specialists in order to encourage a planning & execution culture aligned to the Project Management methodology.
- Interact closely with Project Management Specialists of BU Mexico.

Requirements
In addition to having +8 years' experience in Operated Venture positions in the Oil industry, we have the following requirements:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in Mexican field development projects.
- PMI certification (CAPM or PMP) is preferred.
- Experience with Pims is preferred.
- Good knowledge of project management processes, applications, base forms and IT supporting systems (specialist software, such as Microsoft Project, Safran Project, Omega Pims, Oracle Primavera).
- Good knowledge of Management Systems of the Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Industry and relevant guidelines, standards and procedures.
- Must be familiar with the processes, tools and deliverables associated with the Project Management knowledge areas: Integration, scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement and stakeholders management.
