We are seeking an exceptional External Affairs Manager eager to expand their expertise while working for an international Oil & Gas industry in Mexico City.

Function description

The ideal External Affairs Manager will be responsible for maintaining strategic business partnership, government agencies, professional association. This position provides guidance in developing strategies, operational procedures and practices that are compliant with the relevant laws, regulations and Company corporate policies and procedures, including Compliance, Trade and others as applicable.

• Create and implement public relations, marketing and/or communications strategies.

• Manage content creation and editorial calendar for Company media outlets and key events, including researching, developing, writing and editing across mediums, message development and message management.

• Initiate, maintain, build and strengthen relationships with key contacts in media, community, government, and other O&G companies.

• Contributing with the design of marketing materials such as brochures and advertising campaigns.

• Investigate the market and identify opportunities for expanding business reach.

Requirements

In addition to having +10 years' experience working in external/government affairs, public relations, we have the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related.

• Proficiency in English

• Knowledge about political context, energy sector, authorities and media management.

• Knowledge about energy policies and key players.

• Experience in hands-on design and implementation of communications concepts and plans.

• Proven experience in delivering effective advocacy and communications campaigns.

• Media relations and communications planning experience.

• Ability to build and sustain networks cross-functionally and across markets.
