At iPS Powerful People, we are looking for experienced GP Operator /Rig Forman / Deck Foreman to join for a strategic project in the offshore energy industry in Mexico.
Function description
Key Responsibilities
Cargo & Offloading Operations:
Support crude oil cargo handling, including tank gauging, sampling, hose connection/disconnection, and custody transfer documentation. Assist with pump operations, manifold alignment, and spill prevention during offloading to shuttle tankers.
Mooring & Marine Activities:
Participate in mooring and unmooring of offtake tankers at SPM, CALM buoy, or turret systems. Operate deck equipment such as winches and capstans, and assist with work boat handling and safe personnel transfers.
Deck Maintenance:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on deck machinery and safety equipment using CMMS. Maintain deck cleanliness, conduct corrosion control, and inspect lifting gear and rigging.
HSE & Compliance:
Adhere to PTW and SIMOPS procedures, conduct gas testing, and support hot work and confined space activities. Maintain lifesaving and firefighting equipment readiness and ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company standards.
Emergency Response:
Act as part of the emergency response team for fire, rescue, oil spill, and abandon ship drills. Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and participate in regular drills.
Documentation & Reporting:
Complete operational checklists, log entries, and maintenance records in CMMS. Report near misses, unsafe conditions, and assist in incident investigations.

Requirements
Additionaly to having experience in this position, we require:
- Valid SMBK
- STCW basic safety training and survival certificates valid for offshore service.
- OPITO BOSIET or FOET with HUET and CA‑EBS, or equivalent.
- Valid offshore medical certificate (OGUK or equivalent) and fitness for sea service.
Bonus Certificates:
- Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL)
Additional Requirements
- Mexican national talent.
- Proven solid experience in the offshore sector, ideally with international companies.
- Minimum experience: +5 years or more performing this role.
- Strong command of English (spoken, written & listening comprehensive skills)
