We are looking a skilled Financial Accountant who would like to join an International Oil & Gas company to work in Mexico City.
Function description
As a Financial Accountant you will be required to perform with the following duties:
- Preparing quarterly financial statements for local authorities.
- Managing monthly closing entries and tax accounting.
- Creating monthly reporting packages and closing schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Conducting monthly analyses of balance sheet and P&L variations.
- Overseeing the banking module in SAP and handling loans and cash pooling entries.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Assisting with financial information for tax opinions.
Requirements
In addition to having experience in this field, you must comply with the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- More than ten (10) years of experience in accounting processes and month-end procedures (preferred experience in the oil and gas industry).
- Proven knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Demonstrated competence in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Experience in the Energy sector and legislation (Hydrocarbons Law).
- Advanced English (Is a most-have).
