Function description
In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of cables, heavy equipment, and materials, thereby contributing to the success of our projects. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing and guiding your team in planning and executing complex lifting and rigging operations, utilizing advanced rigging techniques to ensure secure and stable lifts. Your ability to lead by example and provide clear direction will be crucial in driving your team's performance and maintaining high safety standards.
As a Rigger Foreman, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, crane operators, and other crew members involved in the project. You must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various offshore and onshore weather conditions.
A key responsibility of this role is to consistently adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment. Additionally, you will provide guidance and enforce safety measures among team members involved in lifting operations at all times, demonstrating your commitment to leadership and safety excellence.
Requirements
To qualify for this job, you must:
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a Rigger, Banksman, or Slinger, including experience in a senior role;
- Good level of English language;
- 5 GWO modules (W@H / SS / MH / FA / FAW);
- Rigger / Slinger-Signaller / Banksman certificate or equal;
- OPITO BOSIET (or HUET) with CA-EBS;
- MLC / OGUK medicals and Chester Step;
- STCW Security Awareness;
- Confined Space Entry training;
- Forklift / Telehandler / Cherry picker courses are not mandatory, but a plus.
