For a project in Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a Barge Master. This could be you working on a long term contract!

Function description

We are seeking for a Barge master with a minimum 3 years working experience in this position in the offshore construction projects. It is important that Candidates should have experience working and operated a modular self elevating platform.

It's a fixed rotation of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off for 3 months extendable duration.

Key responsibilities include Operate in a safe manner the SEP on site according to the designer limitations, must be fully committed to preventing damage to the environment and shall work in accordance with client's Policy and Procedures, participate with crew in risk assessments, Supervise safety drills and emergency team training, Supervise stability, stability calculations, ballast operations, maintain the watertight integrity, Inspect and maintain all lifting appliances and keep register of all lifting equipment up to date, Maintain the marine certification and paperwork and ensure that it is kept in date, Maintain marine planned maintenance including all marine, firefighting, and lifesaving equipment and Prepare the barge for mobilization and demobilization to and from projects.

Requirements

As Barge Master you will need the following certificates:

• BOSIET
• GMDSS Radio Operator
• STCW Basic Safety Training
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space Entry
• EU or UK passport holder
