Function description
At iPS Powerful People, we are always on the lookout for talented professionals to join our pool for future offshore projects. While we do not have a specific job opening at the moment, we are proactively building a pool of qualified candidates who are ready to mobilize quickly for upcoming opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime laws and regulations.
- Operate and manage the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain the vessel's position and stability.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the DP system to ensure its reliability and accuracy.
- Manage DP operations during critical tasks such as drilling, construction, or diving support.
- Ensure the safety of the crew, vessel, and environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain and update safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Supervise and manage the deck crew, assigning tasks and overseeing their performance.
- Coordinate with the engineering department to ensure the proper functioning of all equipment.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer License or equivalent.
- Valid Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) Certificate.
- Extensive experience in offshore operations, with several years in a senior officer position.
- Proven experience with Dynamic Positioning systems and offshore operations.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting DP systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
