Function description
For Van Oord, we are currently searching for an experienced Chief Officer with strong offshore and jacking expertise to join an advanced jack-up vessel fleet. This permanent role offers an opportunity to advance your career within a global leader in marine construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Jacking Operations: Independently conduct jacking operations to ensure safe and precise positioning.
- Operational Management: Collaborate with the Captain and crew to ensure smooth and efficient offshore operations.
- Crew Leadership: Support crew management, promoting teamwork and readiness.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain Van Oord’s high safety standards in all activities.
- Onboarding Support: Participate in an onboarding program to ensure a seamless start.
Requirements
- Chief Mate Certificate of Competency
- Dutch Endorsement
- Valid STCW certification for the position
- BOSIET/FOET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
- DPO Unlimited Certification
- Offshore Medical Certificate and MLC
- Relevant Offshore Experience (especially on jack-up vessels)
- Fluent English in word and writing
