Function description
As a Offshore Installation Manager, you will be performing the following activities:
This role is based in New London, CT, where the primary responsibility will be overseeing the load-out operations for offshore wind projects.Plan feeder vessel load-outs and provide lookahead for port operations
Key Responsabilities:
- Load Out Management
- Plan and coordinate feeder vessel load-outs and provide a lookahead for port operations.
- Supervise load-out operations and issue Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) for feeder vessels while in port.
- Perform final walkdowns of feeder vessels after completing load-out operations.
- Coordinate the departure and return of feeder vessels with the offshore construction team.
- Safety and HSE Oversight:
- Ensure a high focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) at the site, including participation in regular safety assessments and safety walks (in collaboration with HSE Advisors).
- Team and Contractor Coordinator
- Oversee and coordinate the work of key contractors on site, including SGRE, Crowley, and Gateway.
- Monitor and report on the progress of SGRE’s WTG component delivery, pre-assembly, and readiness for load-out.
- Equipment and Stock Management
- Manage equipment on the barge and ensure adequate stock of spare parts in New London.
- Site Facilitation and Reporting:
- Facilitate the attendance of Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Certification Verification Authority (CVA) as required.
- Provide reporting on all relevant activities related to load-out, transport, transfer, and installation.
Additional Responsibilities (depending on candidate experience):
- Engineering support for load-out, transport, transfer, and installation operations.
- Conduct weather forecast assessments and operability reviews.
- Perform DPR post-processing and analysis for both onshore and offshore activities.

Requirements
In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:
- Being a US citizen (US national / green card holder)
- Strong commitment to safety in all operations.
- Technical understanding of lifting operations and marine transportation.
- Excellent communication skills, as this role involves managing contractors.
- Familiarity with stakeholders involved in the construction of offshore wind farms in the US.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn about the evolving offshore wind industry in the US.

Additional Requirements
- GWO offshore access certification and medical fitness for offshore work.
- Solid understanding of lifting and marine operations standards.
- Knowledge of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) management principles.
- Experience or qualification in construction, engineering, or marine operations.
- Prior experience in wind turbine installation or marine construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with BIMCO & FIDIC contracts is advantageous but not essential.
