Function description
At iPS Powerful People, we’re proactively building a pool of experienced DPOs for upcoming offshore projects worldwide. This is not for a specific vacancy, but a campaign to engage with top professionals ready to mobilize when the right project arises.
As a DPO, you will play a key role in vessel operations, ensuring safe and accurate positioning of offshore units during complex marine activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring the DP system in compliance with company and industry standards
- Supporting safe navigation and station-keeping during critical offshore operations
- Maintaining accurate records of DP activities, events, and equipment status
- Performing DP equipment checks, fault diagnostics, and coordinating with technical teams
- Participating in safety drills, toolbox talks, and HSE procedures
- Communicating clearly with the bridge team, crew, and client representatives
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience as DPO on offshore vessels (e.g., HLV, PLV, CLV, etc.)
- Valid STCW certification
- Valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET/FOET
- DP Unlimited certificate
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making under pressure
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- Willingness to work internationally and with multicultural teams
