Function description
At iPS Powerful People, we are building a proactive pool of qualified JDPOs for future offshore assignments across the globe. This is a general campaign—not tied to a specific project—aimed at connecting with ambitious professionals who are eager to take on their next challenge when the right project arises.
As a JDPO, you will assist in operating and monitoring DP systems, gaining valuable experience under the guidance of senior DPOs and bridge officers while contributing to the safe operation of offshore vessels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the operation and monitoring of the Dynamic Positioning system
- Supporting senior DPOs during vessel operations, particularly in critical positioning tasks
- Learning and adhering to DP procedures in line with company and industry standards
- Participating in equipment checks and reporting any anomalies to the bridge team
- Maintaining operational logs and DP-related documentation as instructed
- Attending safety drills, toolbox talks, and contributing to a strong HSE culture
- Communicating effectively with the bridge team and vessel crew
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous offshore experience in a relevant deck or JDPO position
- DP certificate
- Valid STCW certification
- Offshore medical certificate and valid BOSIET/FOET
- Strong eagerness to learn and develop within the DP discipline
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Willing to work internationally with diverse, multicultural teams
