Function description
As a DPO you are responsible for navigation and controlling the offshore vessel’s position, using the DP systems, including sensors, thruster, (D) GPS, and other navigation. As part of your duty, you represent and report to the Master on the bridge of any events concerning the safety of the offshore vessel, or the DP operations. As a Dynamic Positioning Officer, you ensure a safe working environment, data logging and reporting, system monitoring and control.
An experienced DPO acts swiftly during emergency situations, including responding to alarms and participating in emergency drills.
Collaborations with the team, other managers, project leads is a must to ensure a coordinated and effective approach in installation activities.
Requirements
Requirements:
- DP license;
- Strong Leadership skills;
- Excellent English;
- Proficiency in documentations and data logging;
- STCW Certification and COC;
- Medical certificate;
- Seaman's Book.
