Function description
This is your opportunity to be a part of a big international Tunnelling project in the USA! We are looking for a Fitter to conduct repair and maintenance work on both the TBM equipment and on the Heavy machinery onsite (e.g., MSVs).
For this position, your responsibilities may include:
- Install hydraulic systems for the TBM equipment (i.e., rams, power train transmissions, drive train circuits, etc.), ensuring its functionality and reliability.
- Conduct a full diagnosis and inspection of the TBM’s hydraulic systems to detect any defects or malfunctions
- Conduct maintenance and repair work both on the TBM and on the heavy machinery equipment (e.g., MSV, 360 Crane Machine)
- Perform tests both on the hydraulic and heavy machinery equipment to ensure its optimal performance
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure the material is fit for purpose to promote a safe work environment onsite.
Requirements
- You must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in similar positions and/or TBM related projects (mandatory)
- Experience working with a Herrenknecht TBM with a diameter bigger than 10 meters (mandatory)
- Experience working with heavy machinery – MSV (preferably from the brands Metalliance or TMS)
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems (mandatory)
- Advanced level of Spanish and/or English (both are preferred)
