We are looking for an Horizontal Directional Drilling Electro Mechanic in Bilbao, Spain starting asap until end of 2025!
Function description
Your main tasks will be:
- Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance on HDD rigs and support machinery (pumps, generators, power packs).
- Refuel drilling rigs and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
- Assist in hydraulic repairs, changing filters, oil, and damaged components.
- Work closely with the site supervisor and drilling crew to minimize downtime.
- Keep logs of maintenance work performed and report any recurring issues.
- Ensure tools and spare parts are properly stored and organized on-site.
Requirements
For this job you need to have:
- At least 2-3 years of experience as an Electro Mechanic in the HDD or heavy equipment sector.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with HDD machines (e.g., Herrenknecht, Vermeer, Ditch Witch, HK250/400) is a strong advantage.
- Capable of working outdoors in a dynamic site environment.
- Proactive, hands-on, and safety-conscious.
- Language: English required (basic communication); additional languages are a plus.
- Right to work in Spain (mandatory)
