Growing together: A 5-year journey

How has your career at iPS evolved over the past five years?

“Throughout my career at iPS, I’ve developed both technical and soft skills that have really strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, analyze situations, and solve problems in day-to-day operations.

When I look back at who I was five years ago, I feel incredibly proud of how much I’ve grown, both professionally and personally. That growth has been made possible thanks to iPS and the support of my colleagues, who have played such an important role in my development.”

Adapting to change and complexity

What are the biggest changes you’ve seen at iPS?

“One of the biggest changes, and challenges, has been how operational issues are managed with urgency and efficiency. Over time, I’ve learned to approach situations from different angles, evaluate multiple solutions, and anticipate potential risks.

This has helped me provide more effective and timely responses, which is crucial in our line of work.”

Rising to the challenge

Can you share a challenging project you worked on?

“At the beginning of my career at iPS, I joined without prior experience in an industry that requires 24/7 support. That taught me quickly how important it is to be ready for any emergency.

One of the most challenging projects I’ve worked on recently was with Wilhelmsen for Casco Offshore. During this project, several situations arose that required immediate attention.

This was also my first international project, which meant coordinating with external providers whose processes differed from national standards.

It was definitely a challenging experience, but also an incredibly valuable one that strengthened my knowledge, management skills, and professional capabilities.”

Empowerment at the core

What do you enjoy most about working at iPS?

“What I enjoy most is the trust and autonomy iPS gives us. We have the freedom to make decisions, manage our time, and grow at our own pace.

I really value the empowerment we’re given to do our work with responsibility, independence, and confidence.”

Recognition that motivates

What has been a proud moment in your career?

“One of the moments that makes me feel most proud is when our work and effort are recognized. Even small gestures of appreciation can be very motivating.

They reinforce my commitment and make me feel proud to be part of such a great team.”

Beyond the workplace

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

“I enjoy working out, spending time with my friends, whether it’s going out for dinner or attending a concert, and sharing quality time with my family. I also really value having time for myself, as it helps me maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life.”
