Looking for offshore jobs that match your technical skills and ambitions? At iPS Powerful People, you can find offshore vacancies for international projects in offshore wind, oil and gas, maritime operations and marine construction. Whether you already work at sea or want to take your first step offshore, we help you understand which opportunities fit your skills.
Our offshore job vacancies range from technical and engineering positions to vessel crew and operational roles. With more than 35 years of experience in international recruitment, we connect professionals with projects around the world and support you throughout the application process.
Offshore work means working at sea rather than at a permanent location on land. Depending on your job, you may work on an offshore platform, drilling rig, wind farm, installation vessel or support vessel.
The work varies considerably by project. Technical professionals can maintain electrical or mechanical installations, while deck crews support vessel operations and engineers work on complex offshore equipment and infrastructure. Other offshore jobs focus on lifting operations, logistics, safety, installation or project support.
Projects can be found across industries including:
Many positions work with rotations, meaning you spend a fixed period offshore followed by scheduled time ashore.
At iPS, you work with a team that puts people first. We focus on responsibility, open communication, and developing talent in every step of your journey. Our global network gives you access to trusted clients, clear job information and quick feedback. You know where you stand and what you can expect.
We work across the energy, maritime, and civil sectors and guide you through the entire recruitment process. From your first application to your first rotation at sea, you are supported by a team that keeps its agreements and understands how the industry works.
There is no single type of offshore job. The skills required depend on the vessel, installation and project. At iPS Powerful People, our vacancies can include positions such as:

Offshore rig jobs and platform work are an important part of the international energy sector. Professionals on offshore installations can work in operations, maintenance, drilling support, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, lifting and safety.
Working on a platform or rig requires you to follow strict safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team. Depending on the project and position, you can work long shifts during a rotation before returning ashore for your scheduled leave.
iPS also recruits professionals for offshore vessels and renewable energy projects, so your opportunities are not limited to traditional oil and gas platforms.
Requirements for offshore jobs vary by role and project. Employers look primarily at the skills and certifications required to perform the work safely. Depending on the vacancy, you may need:
Always check the requirements in the individual vacancy. Our recruiters can explain which skills and certificates are required for a specific assignment.
Some entry-level offshore jobs provide opportunities to build experience, but working offshore without relevant skills or certificates is not possible for every position. Employers need to know that you can perform your work safely in a demanding environment.
If you do not have offshore experience yet, relevant skills from maritime, electrical, mechanical, technical or industrial work can help you make the transition. Roles such as deckhand or roustabout can provide an entry route on certain projects, while technical positions generally require specific practical skills or qualifications.
Do not buy offshore certificates at random before knowing which career path you want to follow. First identify the type of work that matches your existing skills and then check which additional training or certification is required.

Offshore projects are international by nature. Depending on current projects, iPS offers opportunities in the Netherlands, elsewhere in Europe and locations around the world. Current vacancies can therefore range from work in the North Sea to international assignments on specialised offshore vessels and installations.
Your location is only one part of the match. Availability, certificates, technical skills, project experience and willingness to work in rotations can also determine which offshore jobs are relevant to you.
Interested in working internationally? Our recruiters can explain the project location, rotation and practical requirements before you apply.
Offshore salaries vary by role, skills, project, location and rotation. As a general indication, offshore professionals can earn around €3,000 to €7,000 gross per month. Specialist and senior positions can pay €7,000 to €10,000 gross per month or more, depending on the project and responsibilities.
For example, technicians and operational crew are often found in the lower to middle part of this range, while experienced marine engineers, DPOs, offshore supervisors and other specialist professionals can earn considerably more.
Your total compensation may also include offshore allowances, overtime payments, travel arrangements, accommodation or other project-related benefits. Because contracts and rotations differ, always check the salary and employment conditions stated in the individual offshore vacancy.
An offshore career can offer much more than salary alone. Depending on the position and project, benefits can include:
The experience you build on one project can also open the door to more specialised offshore positions later in your career.
Your route into offshore work depends on what you can already do. Instead of starting with a job title, start with your skills.
1. Identify your skills
Determine whether your experience lies in electrical work, mechanics, engineering, deck operations, lifting, logistics, safety or another relevant discipline.
2. Find matching offshore roles
Compare your skills with current offshore job vacancies and check which positions require them.
3. Check the certificates
Review the safety, medical and role-specific certifications required for the position.
4. Apply for a suitable vacancy
Apply directly when your skills and certificates match the requirements.
5. Build offshore experience
Use your first assignments to develop practical offshore knowledge and qualify for further positions.
This skill-first approach helps you focus on offshore jobs that realistically match what you can do.
Finding the right offshore opportunity requires more than searching through job listings. You need to know what the project involves, which skills are required and what you can expect once you go offshore.
iPS Powerful People has been connecting professionals with international projects for more than 35 years. We work across the Energy, Maritime and Civil industries.
Our approach is built around clear communication and personal support. We work responsibly, operate in an open climate and focus on developing people’s talent. That means you know what is expected of you and can make informed decisions about your next project.
The available offshore jobs change as new projects and assignments begin. This means the right vacancy for your skills may not be online today.
