We are looking for skilled welders to join a steel plant project and support fabrication, maintenance, and repair activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Function Description

At iPS Powerful People, we are currently looking for experienced Welders for a steel plant environment. This role is ideal for candidates with solid experience in TIG/ARC welding, especially on carbon steel and stainless steel materials, who can work effectively in an industrial setting and follow strict safety and quality standards.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out welding and fabrication activities related to plant maintenance, structural works, piping, and equipment repair. The role requires a strong understanding of welding procedures, technical drawings, and safe working practices within a heavy industrial / steel production environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Perform TIG and ARC welding on Carbon Steel (CS/CC) and Stainless Steel (SS) materials
Carry out welding, fabrication, and repair work as per approved procedures and project requirements
Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions
Prepare materials, joints, surfaces, and equipment before welding activities
Ensure welds meet the required quality standards and specifications
Conduct repair and maintenance welding on plant equipment and steel structures when required
Use welding machines, hand tools, and related equipment safely and effectively
Follow all HSE rules, permit requirements, and toolbox talk instructions
Work closely with supervisors, inspectors, and other team members to complete tasks efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

Proven experience as a Welder in a steel plant, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment
Strong experience in TIG and ARC welding
Hands-on experience welding Carbon Steel (CS/CC) and Stainless Steel (SS)
Ability to read and understand drawings, isometrics, and welding specifications
Good knowledge of welding safety practices and quality requirements
Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Requirements:

Valid welding certificates or trade certification
Experience in maintenance, shutdown, or fabrication works within steel or industrial plants
Familiarity with plant equipment, piping, and structural welding
Basic English communication skills
Experience working in multicultural industrial teams
