Short Description

Are you a Chief Engineer in the dredging industry and available on short notice for a few weeks or for a period in rotation? iPS Powerful People currently has a number of vacancies for you.

Function Description

For a number of projects worldwide, we are looking for chief engineers on board a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger.

We can deploy you for either a one-off interim assignment or for a longer period within a rotation.

  • The daily operation in the engine room
  • The maintenance of the technical installations on board
  • Identifying and reporting technical malfunctions in machines and systems
  • Performing a safe engine room watch, ensuring that work is carried out safely and according to the book

Requirements

  • Certificate of compentence Chief Engineer all ships, preferably Dutch
  • Seaman's book, preferably Dutch
  • Valid passport
  • Valid maritime medical health certificate for Seafarers
  • Valid STCW certificates
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Proven experience as a chief engineer in the dredging sector
