At iPS, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Earlier this month, colleagues from across our Energy team travelled to our headquarters in the Netherlands for Energy Week 2026, an important opportunity to strengthen relationships, align goals, and invest in the future of the team.
Bringing together team members from different locations and backgrounds, the week was designed to foster collaboration, trust, and a deeper understanding of one another. Through a combination of interactive workshops, open discussions, and informal activities, the team focused on building an even stronger foundation for future success.
Strengthening Team Alignment
Throughout the week, team members participated in a series of interactive sessions aimed at creating greater clarity around roles, responsibilities, expectations, and ways of working together.
By openly discussing how they collaborate and support one another, the team gained valuable insights into each other’s perspectives and contributions. These conversations helped increase ownership, improve alignment, and create a stronger sense of shared purpose across the department.
Creating an Environment of Trust
A key theme throughout Energy Week was trust. Through honest conversations and constructive feedback sessions, team members were encouraged to share ideas, challenges, and experiences in an open and supportive environment. These discussions helped strengthen transparency within the team and contributed to a culture where collaboration and continuous improvement can thrive. The result was not only a better understanding of one another’s strengths and working styles, but also stronger connections that will support day-to-day cooperation long after the week has ended.
Turning Discussions into Action
One of the most valuable outcomes of the week was the creation of concrete agreements for the future. Together, the team identified both personal and collective commitments that will help drive stronger collaboration, clearer communication, and continued growth. By defining these shared goals, the Energy team has created a roadmap for maintaining the momentum generated throughout the week.
More Than Meetings
While the professional development sessions were a central part of the agenda, Energy Week was also about connecting on a personal level.
Informal activities and social moments throughout the week gave colleagues the opportunity to get to know each other beyond their day-to-day roles. These moments of connection played an important role in strengthening relationships and building a stronger team spirit.
A Successful Finale
The week concluded with a well-attended Friday afternoon gathering at the iPS office. What started as a celebration for the Energy team quickly became a company-wide event, with colleagues from across the office joining the festivities. The gathering provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on a successful week, celebrate the progress made, and strengthen connections beyond the Energy department itself. The event was a tremendous success and a fitting conclusion to a week centred around collaboration, openness, and teamwork.
Looking Ahead
Energy Week 2026 demonstrated the value of bringing people together. By investing time in strengthening relationships, improving communication, and creating shared objectives, the team has emerged with greater clarity, stronger trust, and renewed energy for the future. As the Energy team continues to grow and support projects around the world, the lessons and connections built during this week will continue to contribute to its success.
