Meet Beatriz, the dynamic force behind connecting talent to iPS. Hailing from the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal, this 26-year-old professional with a background in psychology has found her calling in recruitment. As a Recruitment Consultant in iPS’s Tunnelling department, Beatriz enjoys the excitement of her ever-changing role.

 

Who are you and what do you do at iPS?

My name is Beatriz, I am 26 years old, originally from Portugal, Lisbon. My academic background is in Psychology. I have always been fascinating with connecting others on a job related context. I have been working in Human Resources and recruitment for the past years. At iPS I work as a Recruitment Consultant in our Tunnelling Department,  I assist in recruiting and managing the best talent in tunnel projects for our clients worldwide.

 

What do you like about your job?

I love that my job is never boring. As a consultant, my day to day tasks are completely different day to day which makes it fun. Every day there is a new challenge and it really makes me be more creative and solve problems in a way that I have never done before. Further, I also love the fact that I can connect with top professionals worldwide and develop deep and long lasting relationships with them.  Finally, the feeling of changing someone’s lives by giving them the access to another different market and project opportunities they wouldn’t normally be able to access is really fulfilling for me.

What is your job about?

My main job is working alongside our clients to provide them with the best candidates all around the globe. As a consultant, I consider myself the bridge between the client and the candidate and therefore it is all about connecting people to the right opportunities and clients to the best workers available. My goal is to make our candidates happy and our clients satisfied and I do this by providing a full 360 recruitment service that goes from sourcing and recruiting candidates, to managing their incorporation process and then finally the logistics, when they reach their final destination and begin to work with the client. On top of this, I provide 24/7 support to my candidates while working with us. Finally, I work with clients on a direct basis in order to meet expectations and correctly assist them in their needs.

 

What tips do you have for candidates?

I would advise our candidates to keep an eye on our communication channels: being our website, LinkedIn, social media for any interesting vacancy or project worldwide. Also, don’t be afraid to reach out directly to us via LinkedIn, phone or email. We are always open to connect and chat about potential opportunities or projects in order to have you working at your dream project. Another important thing is keep your cv organized and updated at all times. It makes our job the whole process faster to get you across to the client for the next stages of the recruitment process.
