Greater Changhua Offshore project Van Oord

The Greater Changhua offshore wind farm is being developed at four sites in the Taiwan Strait, approximately 35 kilometres to 60 kilometres offshore the Changhua County in Taiwan. The total power generation capacity of the wind farms is planned to be 2.4GW. This means that, upon completion, the four sites will together form Taiwan’s largest wind power complex, providing power to approximately 2.8 million Taiwanese households.

iPS has been involved in the Taiwanese wind market from day one, providing our clients with both European as well as local Taiwanese candidates. The iPS candidates have been involved in the following scopes of work:

·         Installation of substations.

·         Installation of foundations.

·         Transportation, installation and burial of array and export cables.

The Taiwanese market continues to be booming, with more projects to be developed in the upcoming years.
