Recently, iPS Powerful People hosted its first annual Finance Week 2025, bringing together colleagues from across departments and offices for a dynamic mix of learning, collaboration, and connection. Held at various inspiring locations in Rotterdam and at iPS HQ in The Netherlands, the week was designed to deepen financial knowledge, foster teamwork, and celebrate the people behind the numbers.

 

 

A week of purpose and progress

The week kicked off with a warm welcome from Patrick and Jan-Kees at Tribes Rotterdam, setting the tone with sessions on company mission, vision, and finance goals. The agenda was packed with insightful presentations, including:

• Audit requirements and fraud prevention from our partner in Accountancy
• Rabobank on banking developments, risks, and international payments
• Internal sessions on GDPR, and internal systems tailored to different teams.

 

Each day balanced professional development with moments of connection, whether during team dinners, museum visits, or casual drinks at Proeflokaal Reijngoud.

Throughout the week, three pillars guided the sessions and discussions:

• People: Building stronger relationships and understanding each other beyond job titles
• Projects: Aligning on goals and improving collaboration across teams
• Payroll: Enhancing operational knowledge and compliance, especially around GDPR and payroll solutions

 

The “Dreamteam” concept emerged as a central theme, exploring how openness, feedback, and shared goals can transform a group into a high-performing team.

Participants reflected on the week with two key questions:
