We are looking for experienced Deckhand who would like to join in a project in Louisiana and Houston area! This is an excellent opportunity to continue to build a great career, by generating experience within the dredging sector.

Function description

As a Dechkand, you will be performing the following activities:

• Maintenance and Upkeep:
  • Cleaning the deck and other areas of the ship
  • Painting and varnishing surfaces to protect against corrosion.
  • Repairing and maintaining equipment and machinery.

• Handling Cargo
  • Loading and unloading cargo
  • Securing cargo to prevent shifting during transit.
  • Operating cranes, winches, and other lifting equipment.

• Navigation Assistance
  • Standing watch and keeping lookout for obstacles or hazards.
  • Assisting with mooring and anchoring the vessel.
  • Handling lines and fenders during docking and undocking procedures.

• Safety and Emergency Duties:
  • Participating in safety drills and emergency procedures.
  • Assisting in firefighting and first aid as needed.
  • Ensuring life-saving equipment is in good condition and accessible.

• General Duties:
  • Assisting passengers and providing costumer service on passenger vessels.
  • Supporting the deck officers with various tasks as directed.
  • Performing any other duties as required by the ship's command.

Requirements

In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:

• Merchant Marine Credential
• TWIC Card
• Full STCW
• Basic Safety Training
• Medical Certificate
• Drug Testing
