Function description
Imagine being at the helm of powerful dredging vessels tackling the world's most challenging projects.
As a 2nd Engineer;
- you are crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of TSHDs.
- you manage an engineering watch, maintaining and repairing all technical installations according to STCW regulations and the Chief Engineer's instructions. Operating the main and auxiliary machinery, you play a key role in the vessel's efficiency and safety;
- your work supports the First and Chief Engineer in maintaining the equipment and upholding high standards in quality, health, safety, and environmental systems. Enjoy a balanced work-life rhythm with a rotational schedule of either 3 weeks on/3 weeks off or 5 weeks on/5 weeks off, combining technical challenges with the adventure of global dredging missions.
Requirements
Our ideal 2nd Engineer:
- You completed a maritime education in Engineering.
- You have a Certificate of Competency Officer in charge of an Engineer watch (III/1) or Second Engineer (III/2)
- You have an STCW VI/6 Security Awareness or VI/6 Designated Security (preferable)
- A valid Passport, Seamans Book and Seafarers Medical should be obtained.
- You have a strong awareness of Health, Safety and Environment
- You have a hands-on and no-nonsense mentality.
