Short description
We are seeking experienced wire crane operators, with STCW certification, dedicated and willing to commit 100% to their work.
This opportunity is located at the new energy island built next to the Belgium coast. Being responsible for operating wire cranes on ships or at port facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
This role requires a high level of technical skill, strong safety awareness, and strict adherence to maritime regulations.
Function description
- Crane Operation: Operate wire cranes to load and unload cargo from ships with precision and safety.
- Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain cranes and equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Cargo Handling: Secure and manage cargo using appropriate slings, chains, and securing devices.
- Coordination and Communication: Effectively communicate with ship crew, dock workers, and other crane operators to ensure smooth workflow.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, maintenance activities, and any incidents.
- Emergency Response: Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to act swiftly in emergencies, per STCW guidelines.
