Function Description

Requirements

Stepping up as a 2nd Engineer means taking charge of the engine room and ensuring smooth sailing. You will find great opportunities for career growth while keeping the vessel running at peak performance.

• Overhauling auxiliary engines, separating fuel, and troubleshooting cooling water systems during your watch as a 2nd Engineer.

• Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer to plan maintenance schedules and mentor junior crew.

• Monitoring automation systems and managing safe bunkering operations while in port.

• Certificate of Competency (CoC) - STCW III/2 2nd Engineer & High Voltage (STCW III/2).

• STCW VI/1 Basic Safety Training (including Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities).

• STCW VI/2 Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats and STCW VI/3 Advanced Firefighting.

• Medical certifications including STCW A-VI/4.1 Medical First Aid and STCW I/9 Medical Seafarer MLC.
