Function description
As a Jr. Engine Room Cadet, you will be performing the following activities:
- Assist senior engineers in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s engine room equipment, including main engines, auxiliary engines, generators, and pumps.
- Perform routine inspections and monitoring of machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
- Support troubleshooting and fault-finding activities to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the engine room and equipment, following safety and operational standards.
- Participate in planned maintenance activities, including the lubrication and servicing of machinery.
- Assist with the preparation and upkeep of technical documentation and logs.
- Follow company safety procedures and participate in emergency drills and other safety-related activities.
- Work closely with the onboard team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements
In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements:
- Haven't completed your professional internship - Previous experience is preferable
- Good English Level - Spoken and written
- Jr Engine Room Cadet referendum
- Seaman's Book
- STCW Safety Trainings:
- Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
- Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
- Elemetary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
- Personal Safety and Social Responsability (A-VI/1-4)
- Proficiency in Security Awareness (A-VI/6-1)
