Function description
The Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (SDPO) is responsible for the oversight, management, and operation of dynamic positioning systems on offshore vessels. Working closely with the vessel's master, chief mate, and other department heads, the SDPO ensures the safe and effective positioning of the vessel during operations. The SDPO provides leadership and guidance to the dynamic positioning team and is accountable for maintaining compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
To qualify for this job, please see the below requirements:
- Offshore experience on heavy lift vessels / pontoons is a must;
- Certificate of Competency; Valid SCTW certificates;
- Offshore and Seafarer's medical;
- GWO Boat Transfer;
- Valid Seaman´s book and EU passport.
