Plater wanted for a long-term project in Netherlands to start in May!

Short description

Are you an experienced Plater with MIG welding skills? Our client is in the dredging and offshore industry for more than 30 years. Their scope of works is designing and manufacturing a variety of steel products (pipes, elbows, fittings, plates, and several other special shapes and parts). The pieces weight between 3-7 tons and complete assembly varies from 20 to 50 tons.

Function description

As a Plater, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Work on the measuring table to produce (not measure) special items such as bends and y-pieces.
  • Place the pieces on the marking and measure them.
  • Cut the pieces with an oxy-acetyline cutter.
  • Use the jib-crane if needed.

Requirements

  • EU work permit as the client is based in The Netherlands
  • English is the speaking language on the job site, so you need to have at least an intermediate level.
  • MIG welding experience (six months minimum) and experience with working with heavy steel
  • Experience with cutting structures with an oxyacetylene cutter.
  • Jib Crane usage experience is a plus.

What we offer:

  • The rotation of work is 8 weeks on and 1 week off.
  • The work is between 40-44 hours per week.

  • Dutch Payroll or ZZP (Freelance) contract provided.
