Function description
An Able Seaman in the dredging sector plays a crucial role in deck operations, assisting with mooring, anchoring, and maintaining dredging equipment. They are responsible for executing tasks related to deck maintenance, cargo handling, and navigation under the supervision of senior officers. Additionally, they uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations while working on deck.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Seaman's Book
- Certificate of Competence as an Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch
- Medical Seafarer's
- Valid STCW certificates
- Welder skills
- Proven experience as an Able Seaman/Deckhand
- EU passport
