Function description
At this moment, we are in search of a skilled 2nd Officer SDPO for a project in the Netherlands. This role is designated for a specific project starting from the 26th of June to the 26th of July 2024. The 2nd Officer DPO is responsible for assisting with the safe navigation and operation of the cable laying vessel, with a primary focus on the dynamic positioning system. This role ensures that the vessel maintains its precise position during cable laying operations and adheres to all navigational, safety, and operational protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the Dynamic Positioning (DP) system to maintain the vessel's position and heading.
- Monitor DP system performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and stability.
- Troubleshoot and report any DP system malfunctions or anomalies.
- Monitor navigational equipment and ensure compliance with navigational rules and regulations.
- Plan and execute navigational routes as required.
- Adjust vessel positioning as required to support precise cable laying operations.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous working experience in a Cable Laying vessel
- DP Offshore Unlimited Operator
- Relevant Offshore certificates
- GWO Sea Survival certificate
