Function description

In this role, you will be training and mentoring new captains and crew members in the operation of the versatile maritime work vessel. Are you an experienced captain looking to share your expertise and shape the future of maritime professionals?

As a Training Captain, you will guide the team in all aspects of navigation and executing maritime tasks, including anchor handling, towing operations, and general assistance for offshore projects.

Responsibilities:

• Train and mentor new captains and crew members in operating the Damen 3013 Multicat. 
• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing the team's technical skills and maritime awareness.
• Supervise navigation and operational tasks, including anchor handling, towing operations, and various other maritime activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and maritime laws.
• Coordinate all deck activities and provide assistance to the crew on deck when necessary.
• Maintain safety and environmental regulations on board (e.g., ISM & ISPS) and operate in accordance with the management system and company policy.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Valid STCW Captain's Certificate.
• Significant experience as a captain on maritime work vessels, specifically with Multicats, tugs, and/or crew tenders.
• Profound knowledge of manoeuvring in tight and shallow spaces.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
