Function description
The Tunnelling division of iPS have been operating in the market serving our clients worldwide since the late 1990’s. As a result the projects of our department can vary a lot. We work with mechanised tunnelling, utilising Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) for road, rail and water tunnels. In the upcoming months, the project demand is increasing and therefore we are looking for new skilled fitters. If you want to work within the tunnel industry as a Fitter, you are in the best place!
Main tasks:
- Assembly and disassembly of the MTBM and other equipment before launch, during completion and after reception
- Installation and dismantling of equipment and on surface such as booster pump stations, tunnel bypass station and others
- Maintenance and repair work of other equipment
- Workshop activities
- Operation of the quick unloading on the backup
- Operation of the segment crane in the backup
- Operation of the segment feeder
- Pipe extension works
- Duct cassette exchange
- Cleaning works
Requirements
- Canadian Passport or Work Permit (mandatory)
- Good English level (minimum intermediate level)
- Proven experience in operating MTBMs or similar heavy machinery in a tunneling or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using control software and data logging/reporting tools.
